CHUCK MAUE (Boom's Idol)

Though he was born Charles S. Maue, to me he was always Uncle Chuck.

He loved all types of music and was ever up on the latest bands, or at least the ones worth listening to.

He collected all types of interesting things and was a very good percussionist.

In 2002 he died in an accident, while riding his father's motorcycle, which he and a friend had been repairing for some time.

My Aunt Paula and my cousins Laura and Emily, his mother Miriam, and sister Jan survive him.

We took these pictures for ...the making of... just one week prior to his passing. That night after the photo shoot, Uncle Chuck played for me a bunch of different selections of music from discs I had never heard. I have enjoyed Elvis Costello ever since.

I feel incredibly grateful for that evening I spent with him.

I know he is in a good place.

We miss you Chuck!
